Won The Quiz
Won The Quiz Competition From Tisac
Keera-Pat Elementary Quiz Team scored a spectacular victory in the first ever TISAC inter-schools quiz.
Teams from seven international schools in Bangkok came to St Andrews International School on the 22nd January in a battle of knowledge and wits
The Keera-Pat team consisting of Focus, Earth, Tee and Nune got off to a good start by answering a couple of quick fire questions in the general knowledge round. St Andrews school forged ahead when they scored maximum points in their specialist subject round.
Our team did not panic and stayed cool by easily winning the picture board round with good contributions from Nune. In the technology challenge, all teams were given 5 minutes to design a shuttlecock launcher using only a piece of card, two elastic bands and some sticky tape. The team worked together well and came up with an impressive looking design that launched the shuttlecock 96cm and into a solid 3rd place.
Keera-Pat finally had its specialist subject round where Focus performed well answering two questions that had all the teachers looking confused! This cemented the teams placing at the top of the leader board. In the final general knowledge round Rasami and KIS School came fighting back answering over half of the questions. It wasnt enough though and with an inspired answer from Tee, Keera-Pat took first place with 35 points with St Andrews their nearest challengers on 28.
It was a tremendous achievement by the team and they now have the honor of being the first ever winners of the TISAC inter-school quiz. Well done and lets make sure we hold on to the trophy next year. |
